If you are experiencing any problems with your WISPR portable vaporiser please follow the steps below. If problems persist, please contact the store where you bought it or contact our WISPR expert.
Venting the WISPR vaporizer (for when you can’t get your WISPR to ignite).
- Make sure the unit is OFF
- Turn the unit upside down and point away from your body.
- Using the small end of the handtool (from the original box), depress the gas valve and let all the gas dispel, ensuring you keep your hands clear of any liquid gas spraying from the valve. This may take up to 30 or more seconds.
- Refill using a recommended butane* brand and leave for five minutes. It should only take a few seconds to fill (two to five seconds). As soon as gas sprays back it is full.
- Turn on the unit and listen for a hissing sound.
- If you hear the gas flow, press the igniter. You may need to try two or three times before it will light.
Refilling the WISPR with Butane
- Hold the WISPR in one hand with the gas valve at the top
- With your other hand hold the butane can upside down
- Position the butane can perpendicular to the filling valve
- Press down gently but firmly
- Filling should take between two and five seconds, as soon as it sprays back the WISPR is full.
- Leave the WISPR for at least five minutes before attempting ignition.
The average temperature achieved by the WISPR is 190 degrees centigrade (or Celsius). The equivalent in Fahrenheit is 374 degrees. This is the unit’s optimum operating temperature, which is achieved by using the recommended butane (see below). If you use other types of butane, this optimum temperature may not be achieved.
* recommended butane;
- for North America: Vector, Colibri, Newport, Dunhill, Braun, Power,
- for Europe: Ronson, Newport, Dunhill, Braun
** No other fuel type should be used.
